Unless I think the colour will run, that's what I usually do now. It helps keep some of the finish in the fabric, unless of course you want to wash that out.Susan Briscoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12478005503421741631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1645653477896436446.post-21150084545605309402013-07-18T10:09:53.607+01:002013-07-18T10:09:53.607+01:00It looks perfect - it was meant to be!

I would be too nervous of cutting it wrong, especially with such hard to find fabric.

Looking forward to seeing the quilt with this border added.Susan Briscoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12478005503421741631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1645653477896436446.post-26836266502538340712013-07-07T17:05:45.111+01:002013-07-07T17:05:45.111+01:00It isn't surprising you were feeling emotional...It isn't surprising you were feeling emotional writing this blog post. I'm a moderator on Esther Aliu's blog in Australia and she has just drafted up a 1790's quilt top or coveret as they were calle d then over the last 2years. it has just been released as a 18month Free BOM. I think you would enjoy seeing what she has done. Thanks for the wonderful jouney of your sundial quilt and I hope. One day you do complete this beautiful quilt.
